WeatherLinkIPTM for Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2 At Makati City Hall

A newly installed weather link station at the helipad of the Makati City Hall. This new gadget was added to record weather forecasts for the benefits of the city. It can measure the rainfall, detects wind strength, the UV rays, and the temperature of the area from where it is located. It gives feed back to the console so that we can read it and make a possible forecast today and to the next 24 or 48 hours. Serving Makati at its BEST. This was installed last March 22, 2011 as witnessed by Makati City Command Control, Communication Center (C3) personnel, supervisors, Ralgo personnel and UDD personnel.

WeatherLinkIPTM for Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2™ consists of our WeatherLink software and a specialized data logger that connects to a Vantage Pro or Vantage Pro2 console or Weather Envoy to an ethernet connection. The software and data logger transfer your Vantage Pro or Vantage Pro2 weather data to your computer, allowing you to create a permanent weather database.

Once stored in the database, your weather information can be used to generate a wide variety of reports and graphical displays. In addition, the WeatherLinkIP data logger automatically uploads your console or Envoy information to a web server provided by Davis Instruments that lets you see your weather data via the Internet without having to set up your own web page.

Your weather data is automatically saved to Davis’s web servers which provide four times the storage of the data logger. Using the WeatherLinkIP data logger lets you become part of the WeatherLink Network, a collection of websites containing customer weather information that is stored on a server owned by Davis Instruments. Being part of the WeatherLink Network and having a site on WeatherLink.com means you are part of a community of weather enthusiasts who use the WeatherLink Network to view their own weather data and share that weather data with friends and people across the world quickly and easily.

Vantage Pro2 offers the professional weather observer and the serious weather enthusiast rugged performance and a wide range of options and sensors. You’ll get your own forecast, highs and lows, total or averages, and graphs for virtually all weather variables over the past 24 days, months or years-all without using a pc. Vantage pro2 uses frequency hopping spread spectrum radio to transmit and received data up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) line of sight.

Vantage Pro2 is also an excellent choice for emergency professionals, farmers, schools, researchers, municipalities and others to monitor wind and moisture conditions, irrigation requirements, and potential flooding. It can be customized with a range of add on options, such as solar and UV radiation sensors, soil moisture stations, and long and short range repeaters. This also includes a console and versatile indicator sensor suite that combines our rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors and anemometer into one package.

The Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) collects outside weather data and sends the data to a Vantage Pro2 console. The Wireless ISS is solar powered and sends data to the console via a low-power radio. The standard version of the ISS contains a rain collector, temperature sensor, humidity sensor and anemometer. In addition to the standard weather features, the ISS Plus adds a pre-installed solar radiation sensor and a ultra-violet (UV) radiation sensor.

Temperature and humidity sensors are mounted in a passive radiation shield to minimize the impact of solar radiation on sensor readings. The anemometer measures wind speed and direction and can be installed adjacent to the ISS or apart from it.

WeatherLink Software Features:
• Displays the current weather station data in a real-time “bulletin” on the computer.
• Allows you to set and clear data in the weather station console (time and date, highs and lows, alarm
thresholds, calibration numbers, etc.) from the computer.
• Graphs archived weather data on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis.
• Generates Weather Watcher reports in the National Climatic Data Center (NOAA) format.
• Collects data from multiple weather stations on the same computer.
• Includes support for GLOBE, an international weather-related science program for students from
elementary through high school. Visit www.globe.gov for more information.
• APRS data protocol allows volunteers in the Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP) to send real-
time weather data to the National Weather Service. CWOP is data used for weather education and
research projects. Visit www.wxqa.com for more information.
• Gives you multiple options for connecting to your WeatherLinkIP data logger.
